On May 12th, 2022 our FAU MoD members Prof. Dr. Dr. Andrea Brèard and Prof. Dr. Kristian Franze has been awarded with an Alexander von Humboldt Professorship the Germany’s most prestigious research prize by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation/Stiftung that includes a long-term strategic plan financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for the next five years working on their outstanding research in Germany.

The awards presented by the Federal Minister of Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger and Hans-Christian Pape, President of the Humboldt Foundation took place in Berlin on May 12th, 2022, and our President at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, supported our FAU MoD researchers there:

• Prof. Dr. Dr. Andrea Brèard, Sinologie/Mathematik, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Chair for Sinology with a focus on the Intellectual and Cultural History of China (Alexander von Humboldt-Professor)
